About Diarcom
Diarcom is a Kazakhstan-based patient organization working to protect the rights and improve the quality of life of people living with diabetes, with a special focus on children, families, access to care, education and public policy.
What we do
Diarcom designs and coordinates the Safe Education support system — connecting families, schools, kindergartens, healthcare professionals and public institutions around children with Type 1 Diabetes in Kazakhstan.
How KiDS fits in
KiDS (Kids and Diabetes in Schools), developed by the International Diabetes Federation, provides the core educational methodology at the center of the system — adapted by Diarcom for Kazakhstan's schools and kindergartens.

Why this matters
Children
Feel secure and supported at school, every day.
Teachers
Know how to recognize and respond to hypoglycemic and hyperglycemic episodes.
Parents
Have confidence that their child receives proper supervision and care.
The program in Kazakhstan
The program is implemented using bilingual materials (Russian and Kazakh, with English in progress), alongside training and assessment for teachers, school nurses and kindergarten staff.
